Vivian Hochmanovich, Registered Psychotherapist

Vivian graduated with a Master's Degree in 2002 in Counselling Psychology, when she began providing counselling to adults in a private practice setting.  She has helped many individual adults who struggle with accident and personal injury-related stress, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, low self esteem, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, parenting and anger management.

Vivian's genuine empathy and non judgmental approach enables clients to feel safe and respected. Her aim is to convey to her clients that each person is unique, thus experiencing and coping with life's challenges in their own way. Vivian uses an eclectic approach, depending on what best suits each individual, and believes that everyone can benefit from gaining a deeper understanding about their symptoms and why they experience them. Vivian applies principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness based principles, and client centered therapy.

Dealing with, and getting through unexpected changes in our lives can be difficult. Together, Vivian and her clients work to understand the thoughts, moods, emotions, and behaviours that are affected by life's stressors, and begin the process of learning how to cope and feel better.

Vivian is a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists, and Psychotherapists (OACCPP), as well as a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
